An original production background from the Filmation Studios animated series, "The New Adventures of Superman" (1966-1970). Featuring a beautiful aerial view of five small islands, the hand-painted background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the episode entitled, "Rain of Iron" which aired on October 5, 1968. Measuring 10.5"x39" overall, the background is in very good condition with minor surface and edge wear.
